Green and Yellow Beans
These legumes are one of the most widely eaten ‘vegetables’ in Canada; they have few calories and are a good source of nutrients like Vitamins C, B9 and K, as well as magnesium and manganese. A nice way to eat them is in salads or as a side dish. We appreciate them for their taste. They are delicious. Beans are available from mid-July to mid-October and should be refrigerated.
